What is iLanguageTutor?
Teachers are free to use their own course materials and to choose their preferred online teaching platform.
Students can browse through the database of teachers and select the one that best suits their needs.
Use the platform to create a profile including your rates and engage with students. You are then free to deliver the lessons using your own materials and chosen platform such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Meet or the likes. No commissions or percentage of fees to be paid. Whatever fee you agree with the student is 100% yours. Free membership for the first 6 months, after that annual membership fee applies. Enjoy free monthly webinars on a range of teaching topics and ideas. Arrange payment with students on an individual basis.
Use the platform, for free, to find your language tutor – check out their profile, connect and then enjoy your language learning journey. You agree the number of lessons and hourly rate with your teacher and pay them directly.
The website is free to access for all students. For the first 6 months teachers will also have free access and then they will have to pay a membership fee.
Each teacher is free to choose their own teaching materials. They can use materials they have created, materials available online or PDF’s of coursebooks.
The teacher decides which platform they prefer and they provide the access and login details to their students
The students pay the teacher directly. It is up to the teacher to decide on the preferred payment method and when the lessons are to be paid. For example, in advance or after each lesson
Each teacher is free to decide their own cancellation policy. It is their responsibility to communicate it with their students and if and when they apply it. Flexibility is recommended from both sides as things can change last minute
Again it’s up to the individual teachers to decide how to deal with no-shows or missed lessons
